Unique and versatile experience in miniature

Cosy and still vast rural and polderlandscapes are combined with the modern and historic architecture of the city of Rotterdam in miniature, including the largest indoor miniature port of Europe. Let us surprise you!

More than the miniature world

Visitors can see how parts of the layout are built in the open workshop. In the commandcentre visitors can see how the modellayout is controlled. With tours behind the scenes you can visit parts of the modelrailroad that are normally not accessible for visitors.

Extension Great Britain

We are working on a 190 m² expansion of the miniature world with the theme of Great Britain. This multi-year monster project is the largest expansion of the attraction since 2009. Read more about it on the dedicated Great Britain page.

Day- and nightsimulation

Every 24 minutes night falls in our miniature world in a sequence of beautiful evening- and morningcolours by dimming the lights in the exhibitionhall. Thousands of miniature bulbs light up the nightly landscape in and around thousands of modelbuildings.

Rotterdam in miniature

Almost 200 sqm of our miniature world features a miniature version of the city of Rotterdam. The most famous and special buildings of Rotterdam you can find here. Such as the Erasmusbridge, the Euromast, Hotel New York, the new Rotterdam Central Station and City Hall. With over 50 modern and historic models from Rotterdam.

Port of Rotterdam in miniature

Inspired by the Port of Rotterdam, one of the largest ports in world, we have built the largest port in miniature of Europe! Almost all types of terminals that are to be found in the Port of Rotterdam are built to scale in our miniature Port.

Coast & polder

Off course a typically Dutch coastal- and polderlandscape is a integral part of our miniature world. Here you see a busy Dutch beach, vast polders and Kinderdijk in miniature.

Just like in real life the watermanagement theme is a big part of ordinaty life in our miniature polder. You'll find numerous dikes, channels, canals, windmills, pumping station and locks

Dutch suburbia

The suburbs of Rotterdam, like for instance Schiedam, Vlaardingen, Capelle aan de IJssel, Hoogvliet en Spijkenisse all have been an inspiration for this extraordinarily busy bit of the miniature world.

In our suburbs the so called "Havenspoorlijn" (port railwayline) from our miniature Port merge with the main railwaytrack to our Rotterdam Central Station in miniature. In this town you also find a RET metroline and just outside of town is the High Speed Train (HSL).
